What is a corrugated box without packing tape? If philosophers were into packaging, we bet they’d be deep in thought right now. But, a box without the support of tape certainly wouldn’t be the world’s most widely used shipping carton. That wonderful adhesive liner seals and supports a box, letting it store and transport products safely and securely. Usually made of quality acrylic plastic and strong adhesive solvent, it grips well to corrugated boxes, whether they’re brand new or made of recycled material. It stands up well to heat and humidity and will still hold even in the cold. It’s truly earned its place as a partner to shipping boxes, especially with a name like carton sealing tape.

Though it’s most commonly used in its clear form (which won’t yellow if taken care of properly), this widely used category of tape is available in a number of other styles. There’s hot melt, made of polypropylene, that’s ideal for sealing and securing irregularly shaped shipments. Colored tape, using a synthetic rubber adhesive, is great for branding, organizing and visual warnings. Pre-printed does double duty as a packing tape and a communication medium. And the list extends for a while, encompassing quiet tape for offices, cold temperature tape for northern climes, and even machine tape for high volume use. Tape is one of the most essential shipping supplies out there.
So now that you know the extent of your options, which style are you going to use? We think, whatever you choose, it’ll be the right one. You really can’t go wrong when you’re choosing from this category of high-quality shipping supplies. Oh, and try not to bother that philosopher, if you don’t mind. We think this whole box and tape question is really making him reconsider things. Stick with The Packaging Company for all your carton sealing tape needs.
